I started my education in Tallinn Secondary School No. 7 and thereafter continued studies in the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Tartu in 1982, being mainly inspired by my parents who are both doctors. Therefore, I considered specialising in psychiatry or ophthalmology.
In 1989 I started to work in Nõmme Hospital, and since 2000 I have also worked in parallel in Silmalaser and Western-Tallinn Central. Silmalaser visits take place both in the Katusepap clinic and eye office of North-Estonian Central Hospital. I deal with contemporary treatment of patients with glaucoma, dry eye problems, and pre- and postoperative consultations.
I participate regularly in ophthalmology conferences in Estonia and abroad. I am fond of going to theatre and listening to music in my free time.
